Gabe Gordon is an art-worker and teacher based in Brooklyn. Fascinated by postal systems and mail objects, and interested in working collaboratively to trouble the threshold between creative disciplines, Gabe’s work circulates around the art and politics of correspondence. He has shared work and collaborated on exhibitions in New York, Connecticut, Ohio, Massachusetts, and most recently, Dallas, Texas. Since 2018, Gabe has co-facilitated large-scale public art programs in New York, Toronto, and New Orleans as producer of IdeasCity, the New Museum's roaming platform for artists and projects engaged with urbanism and the public realm. Gabe has been Education Fellow at the Wassaic Project and a 2019 participant at SAVVY Contemporary's Laboratory of Form-Ideas in Berlin. He grew up farsighted in Cleveland, Ohio.
